Just getting into fly fishing and have lots to learn. But this video has got me convinced to try going after the bigger pike at my Lake (Turtle Lake Sk). Any patterns you would recommend for late spring shallow bays ?
Make sure you have some big bass poppers for top water. On days with little wind, you can have a blast with Pike on surface rises. other than that, big, bright colored streamers (yellows, reds, greens, whites).

very nice Doc....I think I will need to take a trip out to Wabamun and try out some of thse fly patterns you listed.....thanks for the advice..and great site

Thats really awesome i fish on shore right beside the yellow bars in the water right infront of were u guys were and i do wicked everytime!! GOOD JOBB

Great video, it's nice to see video's of fish close to Edmonton and seeing really what's out their and what we all can possibly tie into.
