Fly Casting Lessons - Where fly fishing adventures begin

Beginner fly casting lessons for adults & kids 10yrs of age and up.

Learning to cast a fly rod is the most essential element of fly fishing.  Without the knowledge, skills and mechanics needed to cast a fly rod, success will be very limited at best.

Most fly anglers will make casts of 30ft on average while fishing.  Our objective will be to have you casting controlled 30ft casts before your lesson is over.

Your safety and the safety of your kids is a priority with AlbertaStillwaters.Com.  Casting instruction is taught with a piece of wool tied on to the end of the leader rather than a hook to prevent any possible injuries. All instructors will also have basic first aid . If you plan on taking casting lessons, please leave your kids at home unless they are enrolled along with you so that you can give your full attention to the instructor.

Our Casting Pond

All lessons will take place at Lake Hudson in North Edmonton.  This is a good size pond with easy access and grassy banks.  The pond is not stocked and is free of game fish.
